SEASONS AND LIMITS
Trophy Rockfish (Striped Bass)
Season May 1 - May 15 (1 per person limit)

Rockfish is one of the most sought after fish in the Chesapeake Bay. This Maryland delicacy is not only great to eat, but entertaining to catch. Spring rock fishing utilizes trolling rods with bright colored baits, dragged behind the boat at a low speed. The minimum length on a trophy rockfish is 35" and the limit is one per person.
Summer, Fall and Winter Rockfish
Season May 16 - December 10 (2 per person limit)
This is the most popular time of the year for charter fishing in Maryland. During this season, fishing methods vary between trolling and live lining. Live lining uses live spot hooked at the end of the line of your rod, attracting hungry rockfish. Live lining is the most interactive and beloved style of rock fishing. DNR regulations subject to change.
